What a Jerk of a Rub | Canadian Turkey

Ingredients

1 cup (250 mL) Brown Sugar
1/4 cup (50 mL) White Sugar
3 tbsp (45 mL) Table Salt
2 tsp (10 mL) Garlic Powder
2 tsp (10 mL) Dried Onion Powder
2 tsp (10 mL) Black Pepper

This mild jerk seasoning adds a fantastic flavour to turkey whether you are going to grill, deep fry or roast it. Remember when applying a rub to turkey you have to get it under the skin.

Directions

Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container until use.
Roast or barbeque turkey as required, ensuring it's cooked to recommended internal temperature.
